Reserve Bank of India (RBI) withdrawn  the circulation of Rs 2,000 notes.

The RBI has withdrawn the circulation of ₹2,000 notes, which was introduced in 2016 following the demonetisation of ₹500 and ₹1,000 notes.

‘Clean Note Policy’  carried out by  Reserve Bank of India (RBI) .

What to do with your ₹2,000 notes !    ₹2,000 notes Exchange have a time period of 4 months to deposit into your accounts or exchange these bank notes.

How to exchange Rs 2,000 notes?  Approach the banks for deposit or exchange of Rs 2,000 notes till September 30 2023.

According to RBI, the deposit into the bank accounts can be carried out without restrictions with KYC norms

The citizen can exchange Rs 2,000 notes up to a limit of Rs 20,000 . To a limit of Rs 4000/- per day for an A/c holder of a Business Correspondents.

The citizen can exchange or deposit Rs 2,000 into the accounts from May 23 ,2023.

The RBI said that a non-account holder can exchange ₹2,000 notes up to a limit of ₹20,000/- at a time at any bank branch in india.
