Let Know the Reason ! The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory commission had hiked the prices of both Fixed charges and Energy Charges.

According to Times of India News ,Fixed charges will change from Rs 100 /KW (Kilo Watts) to Rs 110 /KW .

If the Sanctioned Load for 50 KW rate is Rs 210/KW .There are Three Slabs !

The Energy charges first 50 Units Rs 4.15/Unit. Next 50 Units Rs 5.6/Unit and over 100 Units Rs 7.15/Unit

After the Revision 3 slabs are Merged into two slabs ,By looking all these calculation it looks like slight increase in the Electricity Bill but

there was a sudden Huge hike ,THE FACT THAT due to the KERC'S tariff hike was announced on May 13th 2023. But had it effect from April 1st 2023.

So BESCOM is Basically just collecting its pending dues for the Month of April and May , and that is why the June Bill is Surprisingly HIGH.

According to BESCOM these Bills will start Normalizing from next Month Onwards.
